ESG Highlights
Epicore IM evaluates all projects from an ESG perspective, detailing progress & specifying further areas of improvement that are targeted. Our ambition goes beyond short-term economic success - we place strong emphasis on creating lasting positive impact for society and the environment.

Environmental
In 2024 we expanded the use of sustainable construction methods and energy-efficient technologies. Key measures included switching from gas to district heating, installing heat pumps, and converting our historic HQ into a carbon-neutral office with groundwater heat pump, photovoltaics, green roofing, and rainwater use. All new developments are planned to BEG 40 standard.

Social
Despite eligibility of §34 BauGB, therefore no requirement of subsidized housing, we decided to build 35 affordable housing units in close collaboration with local authorities on a portfolio plot. Whereas this is not profit-maximizing, we see it as our social obligation to play our role in increasing supply of subsidized housing.

Governance
We have further improved our internal
processes to promote transparency and accountability at all levels. This is further highlighted across all letting activity; in 2024 we relocated the Consulate General of Ukraine to our portfolio asset “Luisenstrasse9”.

Creating Long-Term Value by Ethical Decision-Making
This approach has fostered deep-rooted relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers across North Rhine-Westphalia. We take our social responsibility serious, delivering projects and managing building stock that generate a sustainable and positive impact
